Half term information Autumn 1 2024

The first half term of Year 6 has been very busy for Year 6 children. They began with an intensive training course with the ‘Outspoken’ team to gain their bikeability level 2 award. They enjoyed checking their bike’s safety using the ABC (air, brakes, chain) checks and progressed to biking confidently on the roads around Cambourne. They have loved the topic of Japan and were very excited to write to their Japanese pen pals to find out first-hand about what life is like in Japan. The Sushi making in DT was a new experience for many of the children and they experimented with the mixture of taste and texture. The half term ended with a visit form the S.A.W. project which combine science, art and writing and summarised our learning about microorganisms in science.
