Half Term Information Spring 2 2025

Much of our English learning this half-term has been based around our geography topic of mountains. The children really enjoyed ‘The Secret of Black Rock’ and produced some exciting alternative endings to the story. Our focus on comprehension and inference has continued in reading and included topic based texts.

In maths we have again covered broad areas of the curriculum including: perimeter of rectilinear shapes and fractions. We are now moving onto our unit of work on decimals which will continue into the summer term.

The children have enjoyed learning about animal habitats and classification in science.

In RE the children have learnt about forgiveness and the Easter story.

In PSHE we have been learning about healthy lifestyles.

We had another successful half term swimming at St Neot’s Pool on Wednesday mornings. The children made fantastic progress.
